As a medical oncologist, I am often the first specialist a newly diagnosed patient meets. That moment matters. I don't walk in knowing only one tool. I walk in knowing two, and I work with CION's surgical oncologists for the third. That is a different kind of consultation.

Cancer treatment uses three modalities: surgery, radiation, and systemic therapy (chemo, immunotherapy, targeted therapy). Most patients need more than one — in a specific order, at specific times. When each modality sits with a different doctor, the patient runs between them hoping the plan adds up. I already know two of the three. For surgery, I work with CION's surgical oncologists. The plan comes from one conversation.
